° From St Mark’s we reach the old theater district, passing by la Fenice, burnt down in 1996 and rebuilt.
° In the steps of Antonio Vivaldi and Casanova into the Sant’Angelo
and San Samuel districts, once renowned for comedy and music.
°We visit briefly Alberto Valese’s art shop ‘Ebru’, with its magic paper-mache’ creations.
°We use the popular “gondola shuttle” to cross the Grand Canal at San Toma’, and explore San Polo area.
° We walk into the former red light district (prostitution was legalized here in 1358 !)
° We pass by Rialto to have a look at its cafés along the Grand Canal, where people linger over their spritz or prosecco.
° We cross the famous Rialto bridge into the area where Marco Polo lived.
°We end our tour with a taste of the best gelato in town…
